KORG Trinity Pro with HDR Option

This is one and only key I have. It cost me all the recording and synth rigs I had back then. It was around 4 grand in Japan and 7 grand in the US back in a decade. However, with its advanced and integrated DAW functionality, it was a good deal; it really eliminated my synth rack, hard disk recorders, and audio mixer. I traded in all the BOSS stomps together to make it 4 grand.

All my music sample is made out of this keyboard without any external recorder/ synth. As a matter of fact, those recordings were from my Berklee days where I was exploring the world of composition first in my lifetime. It is still my main keyboard only with its MIDI functions.

Though still there is a big enthusiasts' community of this key, I should admit it sounds and looks obsolete today, and if you wish to have the equivalent synthesis, you can have it installed on your PC: Korg has released a software bundle called Legacy Collection which includes its Wave Station, M1 synths with the effect section of TRITON which is the successor of Trinity.

And that only goes for less than 200 bucks... Well what can I say, I am kind of very happy to live today to see this happening, at the same time kind of overly excited and unconfortable when I think about what the things would become of in the next decade... Is it just me to feel like that?...


ROLAND PCR-M80

An input keyboard from Roland.

As it is designed for the purpose of data entry, you'll be disappointed if you play it with the expectation for it to feel like a keyboard or piano. In 5 seconds you'll notice what kind of an animal it is.

Of course it is of convenience with all those knobs and buttons directly accesible to the assigned parameter of your choice. But it'll never be qualified as a keyboard in a musical sense...

I used it for a musical/opera gigs to que songs and special effects, but it has been in the package as shown in the pic ever since... I am kind of getting tired of taking pictures of all the instrument, so I took a picture of it in its package.

I'll give it out to one of my friends in the near future.
